Text: Psalms 121:1–2 “I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help
Verse 2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth”.
PRAISE THE LORD!
It is important to know that no one can survive successfully in life without God’s help.
The world is a battlefield. A place where evil is applauded and good is despised. How do you deal with such an emerging trend without divine help from God?
God is always ready and willing to help us as many times we need His help. Don’t be deceived by some motivational speakers on social media, that says one does not need to depend on God to make it in life but by your personal efforts. But they forget that it is “God that giveth power to get wealth”
Don’t be swayed by people who feel that looking unto God for help is time wasting, but encourages one to seek orthodox means.
The Bible says in Romans 8:14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God”.
The help of God is the greatest assets of man. The help of God ensures that you are not vulnerable to evil forces on the earth. But then we must know that His help reaches out to those who genuinely seek for it.
THE LORD IS GOOD!
When man failed Joseph, God came through for him and set him free from the prison. In Genesis Chapter 40:14 Joseph said “But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto pharaoh, and bring me out of this house”
This Bible passage shows at a point in Joseph’s trials in prison, he sought the help of man through the butler to bring him out of prison, but unfortunately the butler forgot him and didn’t even do anything to effect his release (Genesis 40:23) until God’s set time manifested and he was set free.
Despite the fact that it was through the wisdom of God upon Joseph that paved way for the release of the butler from prison. It took two years for Joseph to gain his freedom. Man failed him but God intervened and freed him and Joseph’s life took a new turn from that day onward.
Today, as you look unto God for help, He will change your story for good in Jesus name. The God that answered Shedrack, Meshach and Abednego in Daniel chapter 3 will arise as a Man Of War in your case and set you free from the captivity of the enemy.
The Bible says in Psalms 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble “
Are you in trouble? Seek help from God through prayers.
Are you in distress, experiencing marital problems or any form of hardship or difficulty in life?
Today, is a day of salvation. Bring your petition to God and you will experience dramatic changes. Only God can do what no man cannot do, in essence what God cannot do does not exist.
The help of God is crucial to the welfare of man on earth, it is superior to the help of any man or system on earth.
Beloved, what is that situation confronting you right now?
What is that problem causing you to shed tears and think that God has forsaken you?
Today, God is here to answer you, if only you can believe.
It takes the help of God to survive what swallowed others, to succeed where others failed, and to still be alive where others have died.
HOW DO I GET HELP FROM GOD
1. Through fervent and effective prayers (James 5:16b)
2. Total surrender to God.
3. Faith in God (2 Cor 5:7)
4. Trust in God ( Prov 3:5)
5. Life of gratitude
We must live a life of thanksgiving and love God with all our hearts. As we do so, let’s be mindful that He is a prayer answering God and will definitely answer you in Jesus name. Instead of complaining and worrying about your situation, cast your burden upon Him.
Worry does not help, rather it causes sickness in the body. Seeking help from orthodox means will double or cause more problems. Allow God to help you.
Take a stock of what God has done, instead of looking at what God has not done. Appreciate Him for them and you will richly be blessed in Jesus name, Amen.
