SEASON OF LOVE

Text: Mark 16:1–20, John 15:13–15

Two thousand years ago, there was mixed reactions about the death and resurrection of JESUS CHRIST that has transformed positively and shaped the world.

A transformation that shaped the world for good for children of God and the body of Christ. A transformation that has continued to cause afflictions and pains to the Kingdom of darkness.

Easter period brings to birth a sober reflection of the pain and agony JESUS went through for us. The world was thrown into a tumult. Grief was written on the faces of believers, while joy, accomplishments and celebrations was seen on the faces of unbelievers. At the resurrection of JESUS CHRIST the table turned, and permanent grief, pains, sorrow and afflictions became the portion of the Kingdom of darkness and its agents.

Whenever we celebrate Easter season, we are celebrating the pains, afflictions, reproach, death and the ultimate victory JESUS gave to us the believers and the body of Christ.

I DECREE TODAY THIS VICTORY WILL BE PERMANENT IN JESUS NAME.

EVERY ASSUMED VICTORY THE ENEMIES HAVE OVER YOU IS CANCELLED IN JESUS NAME.

Good Friday, the day of crucifixion which stretches to the following Sunday, Easter the day of resurrection is an embodiments of His life on earth, His challenges, victory and what He represents and stands for in the world.

Now, let us look at the realities of JESUS CHRIST life and ministry on earth, which as His believers, we are encouraged to emulate.

Good Friday –LOVE IN ACTION. Johm 3:16
The day of Christ crucifixion should be seen as a day of grief, and sorrow but the resultant rewards of victory and resurrection nullified the grief, pains and we ought to have felt and transform same to a pleasant and Good day that the foundation and attainment of mankind liberation, freedom was achieved.

On Good Friday, we honour the memory of what CHRIST did and achieved for us over 2000 years ago.
He took our place on the cross. He bore our sin, our shame, reproach and grief not because we earned it, but because of his love for us.
It is Good not because of what He endured but because of what he accomplished.

2. 2 Cor 5:21 AN ORACLE OF SUBSTITUTION.
He became the substitute taking our place. We deserved to die but he gave us life. We had a debt, but he paid it in full with his life.
We were guilty, but He declared us righteous. Jesus stood in the gap for us, and took the fall for our sake. What manner of love could be greater than a man laying down His life for others.

3. COLOSSIANS 2:14–15 HE USHERED US INTO THE REALM OF PERMANENT VICTORY.
The enemy thought that His death was the end, but it was the beginning of grievous defeat for the Kingdom of darkness.
1. Satan’s grief over mankind was broken
2. Every curse was nailed. Galatians 3:13
3. The Blood of Jesus silenced every accusation. Hebrews 12:24.

4. Romans 5:8 SEASON OF REVELATION OF LOVE.
While we were yet in our state of imperfection, lost. Wandering, not yet broken, He showed us the greatest love.

5. Hebrews 2:14–15 The power of addiction, oppression and satanic bandage was shattered by the Blood of Jesus. Deliverance took his permanent place in our lives.

What is your sober reflection of Easter season?
Easter is not about the party celebrations, get together, the drinks, food, new wears, but a remembrance of the season and era that JESUS CHRIST, declared in John 19:30 that the whole lots of mankind’s problem is tamed “IT IS FINISHED “

Praise the Lord!
